Cerec® One-Visit Crowns

Cerec® Digital Dentistry makes it possible to complete your dental crown in a single appointment.

Have you been putting off a crown procedure because you ‘know the drill’ - messy impressions, sticky temporary crowns and taking time off work for two dental appointments? We have good news! Cerec® digital dentistry at Magnolia Dental Spa gives Dr. Lane Barker the tools to design, create and place your dental crown in a one visit.

The Benefits of Cerec® include:

  • No messy impressions -
Because the Cerec® system is completely digital, there is no need for chalky-tasting impression materials. Dr. Barker and our clinical team use the Cerec® small intraoral camera to scan your tooth and create a 3D model, or digital impression.
  • No temporary needed -
Using the digital impression and CAM-CAM imaging software, Dr. Barker can design your permanent crown, while you wait.
  • Natural-looking materials -
Our Cerec® crown system is equipped with a mill that creates your final crown from long-lasting ceramic materials in a shade to match your existing teeth. You can actually watch your crown being made in our Athens dental office.
  • One visit -
The entire Cerec® dental crown process takes about two hours. You will leave our office with your permanent crown, and no need to schedule another appointment for the delivery procedure.

Save Time with Cerec®

Our patients frequently comment on how convenient the Cerec® system makes it to get their dental crown, and the technology makes the process even more interesting. Cerec® has been in use in dentistry for over 30 years, with proven results.

Are you a Candidate for a Cerec® Dental Crown?

Most dental crowns can be completed using Cerec® technology, although there are sometimes exceptions. Dr. Barker also uses Cerec® technology for dental bridges, inlays and onlays.

If a Cerec® crown is not possible due to limited tooth structure, additional required surgical or periodontal procedures, Dr. Barker will work closely with our dental laboratory to create a custom crown to match your smile.

Now is a great time to consider a Cerec® Crown!
